Rituals help us to accept separation, loss. It is also a way of paying tribute to the person who has just died. Every religion and every culture has its own rites that highlight the end of a life. Despite the differences we can have in the rituals of each culture, there are also many similarities: grouping together, the expression of feelings, the presence of the same type of symbols and gestures, etc. After post modernity, the funeral system has become a product. Everything is urgent and everything is settled quickly. And in this work, I am trying to rethink the funeral system. Do not treat the dead as object. Before the funeral in China, there are many steps, I want to simplify these steps and give people more time to pay a final tribute to the deceaseds. For me this is an important moment to reflect our relationship with death.
